NOx abatement

Energy cogeneration, especially from biodiesel and vegetable oils, as well as other systems of energy generation, produce a significant amount of nitrogen oxides (NOx), and therefore they require appropriate reduction systems, in order to comply with the emission limits required by the law.
Selective catalytic reduction (SCR) is the most effective method to remove these nitrogen oxides (NOx). This technology uses ammonia which reacts with nitrogen oxides in a selective catalyst that enables high performance.
After the reaction that transforms the nitrogen into N2 has taken place, the clean air coming out of the catalytic unit is exhausted through a suitable stack into the atmosphere.
